A study of a few eroding groynes in Felixstowe, Suffolk, as waves softly lap the shore. Water is always a challenge to represent in paint or any medium. With this painting I was aiming to truly capture the flow of the water, using various marks with turps and layered paint. Often my favourite works are those which felt really experimental in the moment of making.
